The Centre for Economic Research is a structural unit of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Tallinn University of Technology. The Centre was founded on 1 April 2005 by integrating the Estonian Institute of Economics at TUT into the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Therefore, the Centre is a successor, in terms of continuity, of the Institute of Economics of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, founded in 1947 (since 2 December 1997, Estonian Institute of Economics at TUT).
The task of the Centre is conducting of fundamental and applied economic research.
